If you do not select this option, Cobra allows values to be increased but not decreased.

Change Cobra actual dates to match the schedule Select this check box to update Cobra actual dates that are different from the schedule dates so that actual dates match the schedule dates for the mapped activities.
For schedule activities with percent complete and no actual start date, use early start date as Cobra actual start date Select this check box to import the early start date when the actual start date is blank for activities with percent completes greater than zero.
Update early and late dates Select this check box to update the early and late dates used for alternative forecasts in Cobra from the schedule early and late dates.
Load units complete from field Click to select a schedule field from which Cobra imports the Unit to Do value on work packages with Units Complete progress technique.

Use this option when there are multiple resources with different classes in the work package. The percent complete is updated for resources with the selected class.
Load percent complete from (only for Microsoft Project XML and Microsoft Project Server)

Use this field to specify how you want to import percent complete and assignment percent complete values from Microsoft Project. Select an option from the drop-down list:

  • Calculate Percent Complete — Select this option to calculate percent complete, using resource progress when updating the status for work packages that use the progress technique of percent complete. The percent complete is calculated by summarizing the values for Budget and Earned for the resource assignments for all tasks at the work package level. Percent complete is calculated using the formula: Earned/Budget.
  • Percent Complete — Select this check box to import the percent complete from the level % Complete field of the activity. Percent Complete is calculated using the following formula: ((Resource Value * % Complete)+ (Resource Value * % Complete)+…))/Sum Resource Values
  • Work Percent Complete — Select this check box to import the percent complete from the % Work Complete MSP field. Work Percent Complete is calculated using the following formula: ((Resource Value * Work % Complete)+ (Resource Value * Work % Complete)+…))/Sum Resource Values
  • Physical Percent Complete — Select this option to import the percent complete from the Physical % Complete MSP field. Physical Percent Complete is calculated using the following formula: ((Resource Value * Physical % Complete)+ (Resource Value * Physical % Complete)+…))/Sum Resource Values
Note: If all the Resource Values are 0 for a task, the Percent Complete option is calculated as follows: Sum of all the Task % Complete values for the Work Package/The number of tasks being loaded for the work package
Update Assignment % Complete
This option allows you to select which budget classes you want to have the Resource Assignment % Complete value be updated during the status integration. This option applies only when the following conditions are met:
  • You are integrating with MS Project XML or Primavera.
  • You have work packages that use the Assignment % Complete progress technique.
  • You have data for multiple budget classes that you want to update the Resource Assignment % Complete value for.
Select assignment class to update This option is enabled only if the Load Budget class from field option on the Resource Assignments page is not selected. This option determines which Cobra classes should be updated when loading Assignment % Complete. Selecting this option directs Cobra to update the percent complete for all resources that use the Assignment % Complete progress technique based on Cobra class selection.

Use this field to select the Cobra class to which the resource Assignment % Complete is loaded.

If the Load budget class from field option is selected and a schedule field is specified on the Resource Assignments page, the Select assignment class to update option and Cobra class field are disabled.

Use assignment class from schedule Select this option to direct Cobra to update percent completes for all resources that use the Assignment % Complete progress technique based on the class assigned in the schedule field.
Schedule field where class is stored Use this field to select the schedule field where the class is stored.
Class to use when field is blank Use this field to specify a default class to use if the Schedule field where class is stored field is blank.

If the Load budget class from field option is selected and a schedule field is specified on the Resource Assignments page, the Use assignment class from schedule option is selected by default and the Schedule field where the class is stored field is disabled. Instead, Cobra will use the value specified in the Load budget class from field on the Resource Assignments page. The Class to use when field is blank option is still enabled.
